Shot entirely on analogue film in South Africa, Meisie is a fashion editorial by photographer Cara Johnson.
The series draws on the natural light, landscape and atmosphere of South Africa, using the texture, grain and tonal quality of analogue film to create imagery that feels intimate, cinematic and timeless.
Working with the unpredictability and character of film, Cara photographed the editorial with a deliberately natural approach, allowing the environment, light and analogue process to become an integral part of the visual story.
